The Students’ Loan Bureau (SLB) urges all applicants to check their status and to set their guarantor interview appointments as soon as possible by visiting the SLB website – slbja.com.
Steps:
- Click on “Appointments / loan status”
- Enter your TRN
- Click on “Click here to set your appointment”
- Look on the calendar for the available dates in green
N.B. set separate appointments for each guarantor and the applicant.
* If a guarantor placed on the application needs to be changed, applicants are to make the appointment using the one already in the system, then upon visiting the office, inform the officer so that the necessary changes may be made on the system.
Guarantor requirements
* 2 valid forms of ID
* TRN
* Last 3 salary slips / job letter
N.B. self-employed guarantors are required to have either:
- A letter stamped by a Justice of the Peace (JP) indicating gross earnings (weekly, fortnightly or annually)
- Audited financial statements – 2 years worth
- Last six months bank statements
