Daraine Luton writes in today’s Jamaica Gleaner newspaper, about a former student who now regrets going to the Students’ Loan Bureau in order to finance her tertiary education. She describes her students’ loan ordeal as a ‘deal with the devil’, and claims that her peace of mind has been disturbed since she graduated from the Northern Caribbean University (NCU) four years ago; as she tried to finance her loan repayment and basic living expenses through her small salary.
