The Miracle Tabernacle New Testament Church of God located on Rhoden Crescent in Waterhouse (Kingston 20), announced recently that it will be launching a micro-finance assistance programme for residents of Waterhouse and surrounding communities.
Reverend Paul Peart, representative of the District 2020, New York branch of the church, said “the micro-financing programme is one of several initiatives that the church is looking to embark on to reach out to church members and the community. The programme will, among other things, help to provide in some cases small loans to help people become local entrepreneurs and to learn skills to develop themselves.”
The Miracle Tabernacle itself has pledged J$1 million to start the initiative.
