Over the years, it has proven difficult for many persons to readily access the SLB’s services in a timely manner. Difficulties arise for a myriad of reasons, such as transportation, distance and resources to undertake the long journey to Kingston.

With this in mind, the SLB has embarked on an out of town venture dubbed “SLB ON THE ROAD”, which caters to existing and potential student loan applicants who are located in parishes outside of Kingston. During the period March 1-31, 2011, the SLB invites individuals and high school students in the respective areas to take advantage of the SLB’s presence in those areas.

The Students’ Loan Bureau’s Post Graduate Degree Loan is for employed Jamaican students who can pay via salary deduction.

The Students’ Loan Bureau’s Parent Plus Loan is for parents/guardians with undergraduate students they fully maintain. It is also an option for friends/spouses of undergraduate students.
