The Home Ownership Made Easy (HOME) by COK is a reward for loyal members who have actively saved with the financial institution, and have amassed an amount which is deemed to be the “minimum percentage share amount required”. COK said that new members will pay 12.5% interest on the HOME by COK mortgage loan. It noted however that those new members who are willing to deposit the minimum percentage share amount could still qualify for the 10% interest rate.

According to COK’s CEO Jacqueline Mighty, the company is also seeking to make it easy for members who qualify for the HOME by COK mortgage to pay their property insurance, by offering premium financing to cover this obligation, and by applying the property insurance charges to the loan repayment amount. She said – “This means that one-tenth of the annual property insurance will be applied to each month’s repayment amount and in the 12th month (or at the insurance renewal timeline), COK will pay the amount that has accumulated to the relevant insurance company – automatically renewing the insurance.“
